Vice President Marsha Kimelman chaired the meeting at 4.02 PM. President Ray Hornby took over the chair at 4.05 PM

Update on Chairs, Tables
Memorial Game Jose Tharayil
1. Minutes of Meeting September 19,2022 approved as printed Moved by Doug Fisher, Seconded Deloris Ankrom Carried
2. Update on October Sectional Tournament October 21-22, 2022 – Covid restrictions apply. Telephone blitz was completed, all arrangements in place
3. Financial Report Interim report received. Table counts at Face to Face Games have increased.
Motion that a portion of the amount currently in deposit at the Steinbach Credit Union Business Savings account be invested in a one year GIC at Steinbach Credit Union Moved Deloris Ankrom, Seconded Shirley Galler Carried
4. NAP District Final Date November 5, 2022 updates will appear on web site event to be held at Soul Sanctuary. The regularly scheduled SaturdayTeam Game will be cancelled to allow this event to take place.
5. Learn how to Play Bridge date November 19, 2022, Brochures at the club. Local Media and Senior Clubs will be contacted. Plan to have Beginner Lessons slated to start after the event to allow participants an option to continue learning this great game.
6. Pooling of Virtual Games with Regina, Saskatoon etc commenced early September. Saskatchewan games are limited to players under 1500 MP’s Our games Monday evening, Tuesday and Friday Afternoons are unlimited. 191 players have played in the under 1500 games in Sept. Our open tables have shown participation by Sask players.
7. Discussion on hospitality at our games, this will remain unchanged
8. Chairs and Tables Doug will purchase 10 new tables to replace some of the damaged ones. Chairs require some replacement feet covers. Doug has exchanged the chairs currently in use that have the missing feet with whole ones. Doug will contact the supplier re purchase of replacement parts.
9. Jose Tharayil Memorial game will be held Saturday October 29, 2022. Lunch and Memorial Service will commence at 11.30 AM Team game to follow at 12.30PM Updates on web site.
