MINUTES OF MEETING MAY 29, 2023

President Ray Hornby called to order at 4.00 P M
AMENDED
1. Minutes of Meeting April017, 2023, approved as posted. Moved by Doug Fisher Seconded Deloris Ankrom Carried
2. Financial Report Ray updated the operations for the year 2023 similarly to past reports.
Spring Sectional was a success both financially and in attendance and enjoyment.
Motion: Moved by Marielle Brentnall Seconded by Dave West To reimburse CNTC teams for playoff card fees incurred when they moved past the round robin phase Carried
3. NAP Qualifying period June 1-August 31, 2023.Unit 181 will subsidize 2 games per sanction. Dates Discussion followed will be announced and posted on the web site.
4. Supervised Play Will stop for the summer after June 20, July and August beginning again in September.
5. Fall Sectional October 13, 14, 2023 Soul Sanctuary Rooms booked Card Fees set at $12.00.
6. Regional 2024 Discussion checking with Director. Update will be forthcoming Dates to be set, Budget required etc.
7. Learn to Play Bridge next session Planned for the fall
8. Mentorship New session has been approved. Rules are for 2 sessions of 6 As in the past Mentors will receive a package of Free Plays to be turned into the Director and the Mentee will pay regular card fees.
9. Longest Day Alzheimer’s Canada is the designated charity Games will be held Wednesday June 21, 2023 Open Game in the afternoon, Team Game in the evening. Card Fees $10.00 Sanction fees donated to the charity; Additional Donations will be accepted.
