BERNICE JOYNER
(CHUTE)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bernice Joyner (Chute) on October 18, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer in Leader, Saskatchewan.
Born and raised in Dauphin, Manitoba she had wonderful memories of growing up on the farm with her family. A job took Mom to Flin Flon where she met and married the love of her life Harry Joyner. They shared many great years together raising their family. Mom moved to Winnipeg in 1990 after Dad passed away and became very involved in playing bridge, baking, walking at her favourite spots in Assiniboine Park and volunteering at personal care homes. A stroke in 2020 resulted in her moving to Leader, SK to be closer to family.
Bernice, or as her family called her, Bunny, is lovingly remembered by her daughter Cathy, son Bruce and daughter-in-law Glenda. Her grandchildren were a highlight of her life: Shelby (Tyler), Amber (Kenny), Karissa (Cornie) and Bryton. She was blessed with six great-grandchildren: Bryce, Brielle, Bailey, Emerson, Winston and Olivia and was excitedly awaiting the birth of a new great-grandson. She is also survived by her dear sister Doreen (Wally), sister-in-law Maxine, and many special nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, determination, caring and zest for life.
As Mom wished there will be no service. A family inurnment will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Flin Flon at a later date.
