HAROLD PEDERSEN Obituary pic

HAROLD PEDERSEN

It is with deep sadness that the family announces that Harold Pedersen passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021 at the age of 96.
Harold was a loving husband, father, morfar (grandfather), and will be greatly missed by his daughters, Bodil (Greg) and Annette (Greg); grandchildren, Tyler, Megan (Jay), Brandon (Rowan) and Colin (Taylor); family members in Denmark; and friends who all have fond memories of him. He will now be reunited with the love of his life Lily who passed away in June.
Harold was born in Denmark on February 26, 1925 to Anna and Peder Pedersen. Growing up he worked on the family farm, then trained to be a machinist. He met Lily and soon realized she was the one. They were married April 1955 and two years later decided to move to Canada for a new experience and opportunities. They were welcomed by the Danish community where they made many friends that became extended family.
Harold had a fulfilling career as a Tool and Die maker. He was a hard worker and very skilled at his trade.
Harold's interests included hunting, fishing, golfing, billiards, curling, snowmobiling, bridge, and gardening. He loved the outdoors.
Dad was always so proud of his girls, he was our handyman, protector and hero. He was always there to help us out. Just one call and he came over. He treasured his grandchildren and all the times he spent with them. He enjoyed taking them to St. Vital Park to feed the ducks, fishing, making his Danish pancakes and playing Mario and Yoshi with them. He also built them an amazing train set and a plane Merry go Round.

Dad we are going to miss you so much but
we know you are protecting us from above.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Golden Door for their care, compassion and support.
Respecting Harold's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
